About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced Structures Site Engineer to join our Melbourne-based delivery team. This is a critical role within our Structures team, with primary responsibility for bridge substructures, abutments, and FRP works on major infrastructure projects.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and sequencing structural construction activities, including cost tracking, forecasting, and procurement coordination.
  • Take responsibility for bridge abutments, associated structural elements, and FRP works, ensuring compliance with approved designs and VIC Roads standards.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, reinforcement schedules, and specifications to coordinate and order reinforcement and concrete in line with program requirements.
  • Liaise with subcontractors and site teams to ensure works are delivered safely on schedule, and to specification.
  • Coordinate with the design management and construction teams to resolve technical issues and manage design changes.

 

About you

  • Relevant Civil Engineering degree
  • Solid experience in structural infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering bridge abutments and structural concrete elements.
  • In-depth knowledge of VIC Roads standards and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of Australian Standards related to structural works.
  • Working with a tier 1 contractor would be beneficial
