Defence and Industry Civil Engineer Work Experience Program (CEWEP)

The Defence and Industry Civil Engineer Work Experience Program (CEWEP) commenced in 2019 and is critical to delivering experiential training development to grow the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) highly specialised and future Civil Engineering workforce as future construction project managers across multiple domains.

We are pleased that Laing O Rourke has been entrusted as a member of the CEWEP community. For more than 40 years, Laing O’Rourke has delivered infrastructure for the Department of Defence in Australia, supporting critical missions to protect security and prosperity.

The prioritisation of CEWEP through Military Personnel Organisation Commander Australian Defence College (COMADC) is significant for the Australian Defence Force in transforming from a balanced to an integrated, focused force and the expertise and enthusiasm shown by industry has supported the professionalisation of this critical workforce.

Laing O’Rourke is looking forward to its continued support of Defence workforce development through CEWEP into the future.
