About the Role 
We’re currently seeking a strategic, forward-thinking Learning and Development Manager to lead and evolve our early talent development Programmes across the Australia Hub. You will be the driving force behind the strategy, design, recruitment and delivery of our early talent programmes, including: 

  • Internship Programme 

  • Graduate Development Programme 

You will collaborate with business leaders, technical SMEs, and talent partners to ensure our early talent initiatives align with organisational goals and business needs. 

You’ll work closely with our national L&D team to design, deliver and continuously improve our Graduate Development Programme (GDP) and Internship Programme. You’ll be leading the engagement and recruitment of early talent alongside our internal resourcing team and you’ll be responsible for guiding early talent through their journey, ensuring they are supported, engaged and set up for success. 

 
Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead the full life cycle of early talent development: strategy, programme design, delivery, and continuous improvement. 

  • Design and facilitate multiple in-person development days annually and lead the creation of the yearly development calendar. 

  • Manage and execute the end-to-end recruitment and university engagement campaigns aimed at attracting early talent with the support of our resourcing and people services teams.  

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify future capability needs and design learning pathways to address them. 

  • Partner with internal SME’s and stakeholders to drive intern and graduate engagement, performance, and retention. 

  • Responsible for the Construction Supervisor Traineeship strategy to build a gender-diverse pipeline of future site leaders. 

  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and development support to early talent and Programme stakeholders. 

  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on Programme outcomes and improvements using CultureAmp. 

  • Facilitate the onboarding of all early talent. 

  • Build strong relationships with line managers, mentors and buddies to support early talent integration. 

  • Champion a culture of growth, inclusion and performance across the Programmes. 

  • Collaborate with the broader People Function to align development initiatives with strategic workforce planning. 

 
About You 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business (Human Resources) or related field or Diploma of Leadership & Management. 

  • Accreditations such as Korn Ferry highly regarded. 

  • 8+ years’ experience in Learning & Development, Workforce Planning or similar roles. 

  • Proven experience in graduate and intern recruitment, with familiarity in using bulk recruitment platforms such as PageUp. 

  • Proven track record in managing early talent programmes  

  • Proven expertise in facilitation and instructional design, with the ability to create engaging and impactful learning experiences. 

  • Demonstrated strength in stakeholder engagement and end-to-end Programme management, ensuring alignment and effective delivery of initiatives. 

  • Passionate about developing people and creating meaningful career pathways.
