About the Project - Swan River Crossing

The Swan River Crossings project is one of Main Roads Western Australia's most complex and challenging projects, involving road, port, freight, river, walking, cycling, heritage and environmental considerations.

The project will replace the ageing Fremantle Traffic Bridge with Australia’s first extradosed bridge, incorporating both cantilevers and cable support, that will create a striking gateway to Fremantle.

About the role

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced Scaffolders to work on this iconic project in North Fremantle. Working closely with engineers, supervisors, and other trades, you will play a key role in supporting the safe and efficient delivery of the project by providing reliable access solutions for construction crews and equipment.

Key responsibilities

  • Erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding safely in line with engineering and site requirements.
  • Read and interpret scaffolding plans, drawings, and specifications.
  • Conduct scaffold inspections, maintenance, and tagging to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Collaborate with site teams and other trades to coordinate scaffold placement and safe access.
  • Uphold company HSE standards, using PPE and promoting a safe, inclusive work environment.
  • Maintain housekeeping in work areas and assist with general labouring tasks and other site duties as required.

About You

To be considered you will need to meet these Essential Requirements:

  • a current High Risk Work License for Scaffolding.
  • a current Working Safely at Heights certificate
  • Unrestricted Australian Working Rights.
  • a WA Construction White card and valid photo ID.
  • 2+ years demonstrated experience on civil construction projects
  • Demonstrated ability to perform duties maintaining high standards in both safety and quality.

Desirable:

  • A recent Verification of Competency for Scaffolding 
  • Additional high-risk tickets would also be advantageous (LF, WP, RB, C0 etc)
