About the role

With a wave of major projects on the horizon, we're expanding our digital capability in Queensland! We're calling on passionate Digital Engineers ready for a fresh challenge - and a lifestyle upgrade.

 

A Digital Engineer provides digital modelling development, review and execution support across the construction lifecycle. This role provides you with the opportunity to work as part of a high-performing Digital team to support the delivery of major infrastructure projects for leading clients and directly support the delivery of the project’s digital strategy.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities will adjust with the opportunities and growth in the region, but generally include:

  • Support the executing of the Project’s Digital Strategy
  • Digital Model Authoring, Management and, Process Automation
  • Digital Model Federation and Auditing
  • Digital Model Management and Progress Tracking
  • Digital Reporting against the Digital Delivery Plan
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Client, Designers, Construction teams etc.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Digital Risk and Issue Reporting

 

About you

  • Strong understanding and application of model-based engineering concepts (including digital model authoring, federation, sequencing, and quantification), and their value in the construction process.
  • The ability to solve complex problems through application of analytical and critical thinking.
  • A quality focused mindset which drives the ongoing review of scope requirements and the management, reporting and escalation of risks and issues.
  • A strong understanding of engineering safety in design, as well as policy, procedures, and regulation as they relate to digital in construction.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and partnering skills with demonstrated ability to influence and gain credibility with project teams, and delivery partners.
  • Collaborate with other Digital Engineering resources and Design Consultant Partners to ensure digital models meet the brief and satisfy technical, quality and regulatory requirements.
  • An understanding of construction environment and sustainability management, in particular, carbon impact optimisation and analysis.

 

Experience and qualifications

  • The level of the role will be aligned with your experience. Successful candidates will have >2 years of demonstrable experience in a digital engineering role on major design and construction projects.
  • Degree qualified in a technical based subject or Associate Diploma in an Engineering or Design Discipline (Architecture / Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / GIS) or other tertiary qualification in a related field.
  • BIM/DE Certification or working towards other related professional certifications is desired.
