About the role

We are currently seeking a Senior Project Information Manager to join our Unite32 team. 

Laing O’Rourke has been appointed by the Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority (GIICA) as the Delivery Partner for the $7.1bn Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games Venues Infrastructure Program.

This achievement is celebrated with our joint venture partner AECOM, as part of the Unite32 consortium, a strategic team formed specifically to deliver the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and management of document management on projects. This includes assisting Project Technical Leaders in managing document control timelines, budgets, and resources, and ensuring that projects meet quality standards and deliver expected outcomes.
  • Assist with the procurement of any document management software and hardware.
  • Evaluate vendors and negotiate contracts to meet organisational need, where applicable.
  • Provide technical guidance on document management technologies, tools, and methodologies. Address complex technical issues and provide solutions.
  • Offer training and support to document management staff and other users on best practices for managing and using document management systems.


About you

  • Strong understanding and application of document management concepts, and its value in the construction process.
  • The ability to solve complex problems through application of analytical and critical thinking.
  • A quality focused mindset which drives the ongoing review of scope requirements and the management, reporting and escalation of risks and issues.
  • A strong understanding of engineering safety in design, as well as policy, procedures, and regulation as they relate to document management in construction.
