You will be working with the Advisory team and broader business to engage with infrastructure owners, developers, and managers to optimise infrastructure delivery performance, leveraging Laing O’Rourke’s industry-leading delivery expertise. This role is for ambitious problem-solvers who want the pace and breadth of advisory work with direct exposure to the management of large, complex infrastructure projects. You can expect:

  • Daily coaching and mentoring from industry experts across advisory, engineering, and delivery
  • Exposure to national, sector-shaping infrastructure programs where recommendations are tested in real-time
  • Increasing leadership opportunities as you establish workstreams, mentor junior colleagues, and manage client relationships
  • Pathways to broader roles across strategic planning, business transformation, and commercial and program leadership

What You'll Bring

  • Undergraduate and/or Masters degree (preferably in an analytical field such as engineering, finance, economics, science, etc.) with outstanding academic achievement and extracurricular involvement
  • 4-6 years of relevant Advisory experience with infrastructure-based clients, such as energy, transport, water, health, aviation, and resources
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex and ambiguous issues into clear, testable hypotheses
  • Strong logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude, and creative thinking
  • Solid functional knowledge in strategy development, business transformation, manufacturing and supply chain analysis, delivery model design, project and program management, risk and change management, etc.
  • Willingness to take initiative and develop opportunities for others

In your cover letter, please describe the results you achieved in previous roles. We’re particularly interested in understanding the tangible outcomes of your work—what changed because of you, and how you measured that impact.
