About the role

We are currently seeking Protection Officers for Rail Operations in Perth, Western Australia. This role offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise.

Key responsibilities

  • Be able to work proactively and autonomously to ensure that all rail network safety standards and policies are met. 
  • Instructing workers about safe places, protection arrangements, safety measures.
  • Maintain all safe working systems and ensure network rules and procedures are correctly executed for safe operations of work within the rail corridor.
  • Communication with signallers about protection arrangements.

About you

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • PTA qualifications required.
  • ARC Infrastructure qualifications desired. 
  • Sound knowledge of track side safety standards.
  • Knowledge of operational procedures including train notices and isolation protection procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and people management skills.
  • Hold a valid Construction Induction (White Card) & Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Card.
  • Valid Drivers Licence Class ‘C’ or ‘HR’.
