About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager/ Section Manager with background in stations to work on our complex rail project in Perth, Western Australia. This role will report to the Construction Director and be responsible for managing your own section of works by leading a team to drive effective delivery outcomes, solving engineering and technical issues, monitoring the construction program in line with the overall project program, adhering to H&S elements and monitoring and controlling quality.

 

Key responsibilities 

  • Ensure that safety is an integral component of all construction planning and processes.
  • Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs and specifications.
  • Drive a high performing team to successfully deliver program ahead of time and ahead of budget.
  • Promote and deliver to project vision and values ensuring site teams are effectively cooperating and integrating across the project.
  • Ensure safety, community and environment requirements are being effectively and consistently managed across project sites.
  • Drive a culture that promotes innovation and competitive edge in delivery.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships and influence others to achieve outcomes.

 

You will have

  • A Civil Engineering degree, along with extensive experience delivering large scale infrastructure construction projects in Australia for top-tier construction contracting companies.
  • Proven experience with driving a positive safety culture and approach to working amongst teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative and results focused leadership style /approach.
  • A strong commercial acumen.
