About the role

We are currently seeking a Digital Literacy Lead based in Perth, WA. This role offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise.

The Digital Literacy Lead is a key role within the Digital Function working in collaboration with other functional and business peers across the Australian hub. You will be responsible for the development of a digital competency framework, and elevating the digital literacy of stakeholder groups to facilitate the successful adoption of new Digital services deployed through the Digital Transformation Programme.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the project controls to clarify scope, approach, resource, stakeholders, costs, governance and risks/opportunities
  • Investigate any identified areas of high Digital literacy in LOR and understand what has enabled this
  • Work closely with Learning and Development in the People function to detail the approach to identify the Digital knowledge and skills required and establish the Digital competency framework to:
    • Define skill sets required for existing and emerging Digital tools and platform across all roles involved across all areas of the business including Operational Business Units, Manufacturing centres and central support Functions (in conjunction with the People Function)
    • Underpin a consistent assessment approach to assess current capabilities and identify gaps in required knowledge and skills
    • Benchmark an individual’s digital skills, describe the core digital skills relevant to operational contexts, map digital literacy curricula, and shape learning pathways
  • Develop and implement training needs analyses to assess gaps in required knowledge and skills
  • Establish and incorporate change management activities into the project plan to achieve desired shifts in behaviours and attitudes
  • Determine and implement an approach to measure the benefits of the Digital literacy training
  • Liaise with the Digital team in Europe and seek opportunities to align approach, language, priorities and tools where appropriate

About you

  • 7 years or more experience setting up and leading change programmes – and especially associated with the active involvement in practical and sustained business change and capability development at all levels of an operational environment
  • Proven knowledge and experience of delivering transformation change in a complex business environment with multiple and potentially conflicting interests 
  • Experience in human centred design and introducing Agile ways of working 
  • A strong understanding of the pace of change within Digital Services and ability to work with technical teams to help ensure systems, technologies and new ways of working are implemented in effective way to ensure engagement and continued delivery of services
  • Previous experience operating within fast-paced, large and delivery focused environments, with a strong working knowledge of PRINCE2, SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), and Agile methodologies
  • Experience of building and maintaining collaborative, trusted, relationships across organisational boundaries and stakeholder groups including internal and external partners to enable the smooth delivery of change
  • Relevant qualification in Organisational Design, Education, Human Resource Management, or Enterprise and Innovation.
