About the role

We are currently seeking a Project Engineer- Nightshift with via ducts experience to work in our stations team and form a key part of our public infrastructure project in Perth, WA. This role will focus on coordinating on-site construction engineering activities to achieve project time, quality and budget objectives safely.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the achievement of Laing O’Rourke’s safety targets and zero tolerance of unsafe and un-environmentally conscious working practices and occurrences.
  • Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities of the project to ensure that project plans are implemented in accordance with designs and specifications.
  • Provide project engineering support to the construction teams to facilitate the construction process.
  • Ongoing monitoring and reporting of work progress.
  • Direct interface with the construction crews to collect data on information required for project status, cost reporting and forecasting.
  • Support the site construction crews with developing and communicating work packages.
  • Assist with technical queries.
  • Provide direction and supervision for Site Engineers, as required.

 

You will have

  • A degree qualification in Civil Engineering along with experience having worked as a Project Engineer for Tier 1 Construction Contractors.
  • Structures and/or stations experience on large scale public infrastructure/rail projects.
  • A strong commercial acumen.
  • A collaborative approach with proven ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Strong problem solving, organisational and communication skills.
  • A high attention to detail.
