About the role

We are currently seeking a Health and Safety Manager to join on one of our high profile Rail/Civil Projects in Perth, WA. This senior role drives real change in the HSE space for an innovative, privately-owned Tier 1, and international engineering enterprise. 

Key responsibilities

• You will take the lead responsibility for all Health & Safety aspects of the project and ensure all works are completed in accordance with required contract conditions, standards/regulations and company procedures. 
• Lead and conduct project audits in accordance with Project Audit Schedule, and undertake a periodic reviews
• Monitor and proactively engage the Project Leaders and direct HSE Reports to effectively manage the close out of Non-Conformance Reports arising from audits, and corrective action arising from incident investigations.
• Positively influence the health and safety culture and performance of the project.

About you

• You will have a relevant Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety combined with at least 10 years' extensive experience on large scale construction projects, ideally in Australia. 
• You will have demonstrated audit experience
• Experience in coaching to develop safety peers and project personnel in Health, Safety and Environment.
• Leadership experience
