About the role

We are currently seeking a Construction Director in Adelaide. This role offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise.

Key responsibilities 

  • Contribute to the achievement of Laing O’Rourke safety targets and zero tolerance of unsafe and un-environmentally conscious working practices and occurrences.
  • Provide support to the Project Leader to ensure client expectations are managed. This will include establishment of a project brief, understanding the development drivers, establishing a cost plan to meet agreed budget, risk identification and mitigation strategies.
  • Develop an overall design procurement strategy to ensure consultants selected truly understand the key project drivers.
  • Oversee cost planning as required to develop an overall cost plan for the project and develop the design in accordance with the project budget.


About you 

  • Degree in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) or Construction Management or equivalent.
  • Understanding of design, problem-solving capabilities, commercial acumen.
  • Ability to communicate on all levels – directors to operatives.
  • Lead by example in health and safety and attitude.
  • Eligibility to obtain an NV1 security clearance is a requirement for this position.
