About the role

We are currently seeking a Health & Safety Manager in Adelaide. This role offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise.

Key responsibilities 

  • Lead and promote a strong safety culture, championing the Rethinking Safety Through Inclusion + Wellbeing principles.
  • Provide specialist Safety Assurance expertise across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with system safety requirements and engineering management principles.
  • Facilitate hazard identification, risk assessment and safety assurance activities, including HAZIDs, safety controls and hazard log reviews.
  • Develop and maintain Safety Assurance Plans, Statements and Reports to support project and client requirements.
  • Review project processes, documentation and assurance evidence to ensure alignment with verification, validation and quality requirements.
  • Act as the key liaison for Safety Assurance matters, engaging with clients, project teams, subcontractors and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct and support audits, reviews and safety investigations, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and compliance.
  • Provide technical advice and support on safety legislation, risk management and systems assurance throughout the project lifecycle.

About you 

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience.
  • Degree qualified in Engineering or Science
  • Masters qualified providing a technical or leadership extension to base degree (preferred).
  • Professionally chartered with a recognised professional institution.
  • Knowledge of risk-based safety assurance.
  • Eligibility to obtain an NV1 security clearance is a requirement for this role.
