About the role

We are currently seeking Completions Engineer Or Coordinator for a high profile Rail/Civil project in Perth, WA. This role offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise.The purpose of this role is on site coordination of physical completion activities (ie. Inspections and capture of defects) and documentary evidence required in order to discharge contract, statutory and regulatory obligations, during the construction, commissioning, handover and post-handover phases of the works, in order to demonstrate operational readiness, achieve project or stage completion and contract finalisation.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Lead defect construction verification and asset operator/owner walkdowns through the project lifecycle.
  • Record and monitor defects and omissions in accordance with associated plan or procedure.
  • Work collaboratively and efficiently with all project stakeholders to ensure sign-off and handover for construction verification, commissioning, entry into service and final acceptance is achieved.

 

Other Responsibilities

  • Execution and continuous improvement of Project Completions processes and procedures.
  • Monitoring and execution of the project Completions Management System (CMS) including performing change management as and where required.
  • Assist with tracking and reporting status of handover packages to the project controls, construction, commissioning and quality teams to ensure that completions activities for assigned packages of works are progressed as early and efficiently as possible to meet project programme.


About you

  • Comfortable and experienced in leading client facing inspections and meetings
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar Quality Assurance or Completions and/or Engineering roles in the rail/infrastructure industry.
  • Degree in an Engineering Discipline e.g. civil, mechanical, electrical or Construction Management with experience in delivering work as a work package engineer. (Not a requirement)
  • Experience with CCMS Completions Management Systems and/or database.
  • Sound computer skills with the ability to use MS Package and other relevant software confidently and effectively
  • Proficient  with Microsoft suite and use of Tablet
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Be a self-starter / self-leader who thrives on taking responsibility, driving time focused business outcomes, whilst having the ability and confidence to work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and respond to changing business requirements in a positive manner, with excellent time management skills
  • A positive, energetic and flexible approach to work
