About the role
We are currently seeking a Commercial Manager- Claims to join our Commercial team based on project. This permanent role offers great career prospects with a privately owned tier 1 constructor, and an international engineering enterprise.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Lead a commercial team on the project and be responsible for fulfilling the requirements of the commercial function including optimising margin, ensuring business assurance, maintaining project governance and managing project risks. 
  • Lead all Post-Contract commercial activities on a complex rail project  Including cost/value reconciliation, cost forecasting, cash flows, claims assessments and head/sub-contract administration.
  • As a senior member of the project management team, you will work closely with the Project Leader / Lead Commercial Manager to provide strategic commercial direction in the management of the project goals.
  • You will lead a professional commercial team and provide direction, motivation and professional development support.

You will have

  • A quantity surveying, commercial/construction management, building, engineering degree or equivalent coupled with extensive post graduate experience in contract administration and commercial management within the construction industry.
  • Ideally have obtained or be working towards Chartered Membership of the RICS.
  • You will also possess comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of contract management, project financial management, risk and opportunity management, performance reporting, budget preparation and administration.
