About the role

We are currently seeking a Building Services Manager for large infrastructure project. This role offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise.

Key responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility for management of Services Trades Subcontractors through the life of the project including Mechanical, Electrical, Communications, Security, Fire Protection, Hydraulics and Vertical Transportation Services
  • Provide oversight whilst working with the site construction team’s supervision and engineering to ensure service installation works is carried out in line with program, budgets and quality requirements
  • Be a part of the team managing the tender process involved in the qualification and selection of relevant subcontractors to carry out services installation works
  • Work with engineering, WHS and quality teams to ensure all deliverables are received from subcontractors to project requirements
  • Liaise with the client and other key stakeholders in relation to the management, delivery and timing of service installations on the project
  • Liaise with relevant project team personnel in development, execution and monitoring of project schedules to ensure successful completion of the project in required timeframes
  • Play an instrumental part in the commissioning, certification and handover process to achieve the successful completion of the projects works
  • Drive the successful completion of the project to client and contractual specifications
  • Actively seek business improvement opportunities by challenging the project delivery to set new standards and innovations to ensure your department is working as efficiently and safely to perform their necessary tasks
  • Build networks with construction and installation manufacturers and suppliers in order to increase LOR’s knowledge of new developments

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Construction Management coupled with extensive experience in Building Services within a construction environment
  • Extensive field-based experience in the overall management of services installation, interfacing, testing, commissioning and handover
  • Understanding of design, problem solving and commercial acumen
  • Lead by example in health and safety
