About the role

We are currently seeking a Rail Superintendent for our Rail Operations hub in Perth.

Rail Operations is an internal Business unit within Laing O’Rourke, specialising in sole delivery of all aspects of Rail, working with a team of technical experts to deliver a high portfolio of work across Western Australia. 

 

Key responsibilities

  • Providing direction into the master construction plan.
  • Managing a team of Superintendents, Supervisors and the blue-collar workforce to achieve project objectives.
  • Review and endorse the planning and programming daily construction activities.
  • Oversee resource allocation to ensure all projects are suitably covered.
  • Lead section meetings and review progress in productivity and achievement of commercial requirements.
  • Contribute to the contract review process and ensure effective implementation of Laing O’Rourke’s project management systems and procedures.

 

About you

  • A relevant trade qualification combined with significant construction & maintenance delivery experience in the rail industry
  • A collaborative style of leadership and effective communication both written and oral
  • Have excellent client interface, coordination, time management and safety leadership skills
