About The Position

Select Plant Hire is currently looking for an experienced Yardperson/Storeperson to coordinate material goods and perform a diverse range of functions within the Depot. 

The position will be predominantly based at our Depot in Laverton, Victoria and you may be required to complete works on-site. Therefore, we're ideally looking for someone with some flexibility on location.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will require the knowledge and ability to:

• Coordinate and track materials dispatched and received, including stock maintenance.
• Accurately input data into systems and complete paperwork accurately.
• Liaise with site personal including the plant and procurement team in relation to goods and materials required.
• Complete the task of washing of equipment and depot and warehouse organisation of the Yard and equipment
• Movement of equipment within the yard by lifting aids and self-propelled equipment
• Deliveries and pickups on Customers construction sites

About You

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and attributes:

• License to operate a Forklift
• Drivers License – Class C as a minimum (HR or MR is desirable)
• General Construction Induction Certificate – White Card
• Previous construction industry experience
• Knowledge of equipment, tools, and machinery
• Willingness to obtain industry licenses to operate machinery with prior understanding of construction equipment and industry an advantage.
