About the role

We are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join infrastructure projects in Sydney NSW. This permanent role offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise.

Key responsibilities

  • Able to perform detailed review and analysis of Cost Plans for large complex projects, including full measurement and rating exercises. Cost Plan preparation in a format that permits ease of optioneering. Easily converts Cost Plan to Package budgets and work breakdown structure (WBS).
  • Able to complete detailed cost reporting forms.
  • Has a detailed and comprehensive understanding of the source of cost and budget information for project reports.
  • Prepares detailed and reliable forecasts of cash inflow and outflow, for complex projects.

About you

  • A construction management, building, engineering degree or equivalent coupled with extensive post-graduate experience in contract administration within the construction industry.
  • Already obtained or be working towards MRICS
  • You will also possess comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of contract management, program financial management, risk and opportunity management, performance reporting, budget preparation and administration.
  • Able to articulate the quality standards and expectations to relevant internal and external stakeholders applicable to their project/function.
  • Demonstrates ability to work in a methodical and regulated approach to planning and executing the project using appropriate controls.
  • Delivers the agreed outcomes ensuring the project is managed to budget and time frames.
