About the role

We are inviting Expressions of Interest from Quality & Completions Managers for projects in Adelaide. As the Quality & Completions Manager, you will oversee all quality and completions aspects to ensure all works are completed and handed over in accordance with required contract conditions, standards/regulations and company procedures. You will positively influence the quality culture and project performance by engaging with the project team, client and supply chain, and drive successful outcomes. This role offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise.


Key responsibilities

  • Develop the Quality Management Plan and ensure all requirements within the plan are established, implemented, maintained and communicated and that responsibilities for implementing the plan are understood by the wider team.
  • Review all specifications and standards to ensure all QA/QC deliverables required under the contract are captured and processes are in place to ensure they are achieved.
  • Manage the Corrective Action, Defect and Non-Conformance Tracking Registers to ensure actions are implemented, analysed and closed out.
  • Develop any quality procedures and forms, as required by the specifications.
  • Establish and report on Quality objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide input into the risk reviews to ensure all quality risks are identified, analysed and mitigated.
  • Liaise with clients and the supply chain to ensure Quality issues are swiftly resolved.
  • Conduct final review of supply chain documentation prior to submission and handover to the Client.
  • Schedule and conduct internal and external audits on the supply chain to verify compliance with the contract requirements, specifications and standards.
  • Compilation and generation of documentation for handover dossiers for Key and partial milestones.
  • Conduct training/toolbox talks on project Quality risks, events and processes.
  • Collate and analyse data to compile monthly quality reports required by the client and Laing O’Rourke.
  • Ensure performance criteria and requirements are identified, including method of documenting, and stakeholder acceptance for requirements.
  • Drive the completions and handover process throughout the project lifecycle.


About you

  • 10-15 years’ construction / engineering project experience
  • Engineering or construction degree (or equivalent)
  • Quality Lead Auditor Qualification
  • Sound knowledge of Australian Standards (e.g. ISO 9001:2015), Industry Codes and Procedures
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Previous experience with Project Document Management Systems
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite.
