About the role
We are currently seeking a Senior Community Relations and Stakeholder Advisor to join our Transport for Tomorrow team on our Rail Infrastructure Upgrades project. 

Transport for Tomorrow is a partnership between Laing O’Rourke, KBR and Transport for NSW.

Transport for Tomorrow is delivering infrastructure upgrades and modifications of existing rail infrastructure at train stations and stabling yards across NSW, to accommodate the new Regional Rail fleet and facilitate the operation of the modified Mariyung Fleet in line with agreed operating model changes.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Assist the Community Relations and Stakeholder Manager in communications and stakeholder relations (C&SR), budget preparation and engagement planning
  • During delivery of assigned projects, build trusted relationships with community members and stakeholders, understand their needs and expectations, identify and work to minimise project impacts on them as much as possible, and ensure they receive useful, accurate, timely and engaging project communications materials.
  • Work closely with the delivery team to understand the construction program, identify potential stakeholder and community impacts and work to mitigate these as much as possible
  • Day to day management of stakeholder and community issues, ensuring these are resolved and closed out within agreed timeframes, or escalated as appropriate

 

You will have

  • You will possess recognised and appropriate communications and community engagement qualifications and / or active industry experience.
  • You will be required to demonstrate at least three years of hands-on communications / community engagement experience during delivery phase of major infrastructure projects.
