About the role

We are currently seeking a Project Director for Energy projects. This role offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise. The role could be in Sydney or Melbourne and requires some flexibility for overseeing or relocating to cater for projects in delivery over time.


Key responsibilities

  • Sole responsibility for the delivery and detailed design management process for the project
  • Lead project teams to continually exceed expectations, whilst ensuring the construction process is controlled and adheres to strict safety, quality, programme and financial objectives
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve and exceed expected outcomes for the client


About you

  • People-centric leader, with excellent interpersonal skills
  • At least 20 years of experience most of which leading projects e.g. HV, Transmission Lines, Wind Farm
  • Experience in managing major civil infrastructure projects and a range of delivery models e.g. D&C, EPCM, MC and other collaborative contracts.
  • Strong experience in managing multiple stakeholders
  • Proven leadership of large multi discipline, geographically spread, operational delivery teams
  • Extensive construction experience including construction planning and management, managing multi-disciplined teams, budgeting and planning, procurement, risk management, client management, dispute/issue resolution
  • Relevant Engineering or Construction Management degree
