About the role

We are currently seeking a signalling site engineer to join our ever-growing Rail Operations team based in Seven Hills, NSW.    

Rail Operations is an internal business unit within Laing O’Rourke, specialising in the sole delivery of all aspects of Rail, working with a team of technical experts to deliver a high portfolio of work across Australia.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare all related documents such as method statements, drawings, approvals and permits before commencement of any site works.
  • ­Attend weekly progress meetings and prepare minutes of meetings.
  • Planning of work and recourses with reference to work program to ensure timely progress.
  • Tracking of daily progress, productivity and costs and reporting.
  • Prepare QA documentation , review SWMS
  • Coordinating regular quality inspections with the client.
  • Promote a positive culture regarding HSE, Environmental Management, Sustainability, People, Community and Quality.

About you

  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or similar disciplines.
  • Must have worked on signalling projects 
  • Proven experience working on Tier 1 projects. 
  • Experience managing direct workforce and subcontractors in the delivery of work plans and scope.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate as part of a supportive high-performing team.
