Laing O’Rourke, with joint venture partner Amentum Australia, will play a central role in supporting Australian Naval Infrastructure (ANI) to develop and deliver the Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard (NPSCY) project at Osborne, South Australia. We will provide program and construction management services of nuclear related civil infrastructure, site‑wide nuclear licensee development expertise, and nuclear safety leadership.

We are currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our AUKUS team. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery across complex, multidisciplinary projects.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and supply chain.
  • Coach and mentor teams to drive high-performance delivery.
  • Drive strategic planning and problem-solving with commercial acumen.
  • Ensure construction activities are delivered safely and in accordance with client cost, time, quality and scope requirements.

About You

  • A minimum of 10 years’ construction/engineering project experience.
  • ​Bring proven construction or engineering project experience.
  • Apply strong design knowledge to drive constructability outcomes.
  • Degree in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) or Construction Management or equivalent
  • Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.
