You will coordinate just-in-time deliveries and maintain full traceability from arrival through to installation. Key responsibilities 

Delivery Management

  • Own and administer the platform as the single source of truth for all site deliveries, bookings and logistics scheduling.
  • Coordinate just-in-time delivery of all materials, aligned to the construction program and daily install sequence.
  • Liaise daily with subcontractors, suppliers and transport providers to confirm delivery details, vehicle types and unloading requirements. 

Delivery Dockets & Inventory

  • Receive, verify and reconcile all delivery dockets against purchase orders
  • Maintain the site inventory management system, ensuring all materials are logged, labelled and allocated to a known storage location

Transport, Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all transport activities comply with the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations
  • Conduct gate compliance checks — verify driver inductions, vehicle compliance and booking status before entry.
  • Support and lead investigations into logistics-related incidents, near misses and non-conformances; implement corrective actions.

Quality & Returns

  • Manage incoming quality checks on all delivered materials against specifications and purchase orders.
  • Identify, quarantine and document damaged, defective or incorrect materials.

Reporting & Resource Allocation

  • Report material cost and schedule performance against the construction program, based on materials received, used and installed.
  • Allocate materials and logistics resources to engineers in line with program priorities and daily work plans.

Traffic Management:

  • Coordinate the preparation of Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS) and traffic control plans with the traffic control provider.
  • Prepare, submit and manage road occupancy and council permit applications
  • Maintain a current register of traffic approvals, permits and supporting documentation.

 

About you 

  • Diploma holder or tertiary qualifications in an engineering discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in construction logistics, materials coordination or site-based supply chain roles.
  • Working knowledge of HVNL and Chain of Responsibility obligations.
  • Experience with delivery management platforms and inventory management systems.
  • Strong understanding of just-in-time delivery methodology on live construction sites
  • Experience managing delivery dockets, purchase order reconciliation and material tracking.
  • Strong communication skills — able to coordinate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, transport providers, engineers and site management.
