Laing O’Rourke, with joint venture partner Amentum Australia, will play a central role in supporting Australian Naval Infrastructure (ANI) to develop and deliver the Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard (NPSCY) project at Osborne, South Australia. We will provide program and construction management services of nuclear related civil infrastructure, site‑wide nuclear licensee development expertise, and nuclear safety leadership.

We are currently seeking an Industrial Relations Manager to join our AUKUS team.

Key responsibilities

• ​​Support the implementation of Industrial Relations strategies, including stakeholder engagement, governance reporting, and risk mitigation initiatives.
• Assist in identifying, managing, and mitigating industrial relations risks across project and business operations.
• Prepare governance reports and provide insights to support informed industrial relations decision-making.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support industrial relations outcomes.
• Contribute to the planning of workforce mobilisation activities to meet project and operational requirements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislative obligations including the Fair Work Act, Enterprise Agreements and Awards.

About you 

• Tertiary qualifications in industrial relations, law, or related discipline.
• Significant experience in Industrial Relations within project-based engineering or construction environment.
• High level of interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.
