About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced Hire Controller to join our high preforming Select Plant Australia team based out of Seven Hills, NSW.

The purpose of this role is to understand customer requirements and convert opportunities in a timely manner to ensure a seamless experience by managing the end-to-end process for all hire contracts.

This permanent role offers great career prospects with one of the largest specialist plant hire businesses in Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Address all customer queries in a timely and effective manner and cultivate lasting relationships
• Fulfil customer requests for the hire of construction plant, equipment, vehicles, site accommodation and tools
• Drive customer focus throughout the business, ensuring that the use of Select own plant and equipment is maximized
• Leverage existing customers relationships to identify areas of potential growth or opportunity
• Reconcile project charges prior to charge run to ensure all customer invoicing is current and accurate
• Review queried invoices with suppliers for payment or dispute escalation
• Generate credits to customers for invoicing errors where required and in line with DOA
• Create variations to supplier orders as required to account for additional items, damages and other sundry charges

About you

• 3+ years experience preferred in a related role (e.g. plant hire, dispatch, commercial, construction, logistics, asset management)
• A good working knowledge of the construction and plant hire industries
• Excellent alpha/numerical data entry skills
• Intermediate level experience using Microsoft Office Suite – Excel & Outlook
