Laing O’Rourke, with joint venture partner Amentum Australia, will play a central role in supporting Australian Naval Infrastructure (ANI) to develop and deliver the Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard (NPSCY) project at Osborne, South Australia. We will provide program and construction management services of nuclear related civil infrastructure, site‑wide nuclear licensee development expertise, and nuclear safety leadership.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead completions, defect management and handover readiness across the project or portfolio.
  • Drive defect prevention, timely closure and clear acceptance pathways with clients and asset owners.
  • Establish and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with AS/NZS ISO 9001 and client requirements.
  • Assure the completeness, accuracy and quality of records, test evidence and handover documentation.
  • Identify trends, emerging risks and opportunities to improve quality, completions and handover performance.

 

About you

  • 10–15 years’ experience in construction or major infrastructure delivery.
  • Strong background in quality management, with demonstrated experience leading completions, commissioning readiness and handover.
  • Relevant engineering, construction or business qualification.
  • Quality Management certification or equivalent is desirable.
  • Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.
