About the role

We are currently seeking an Assistant Hire Controller to join our high performing Select Plant Australia team based out of Malaga, WA.

The purpose of this role is to ensure a seamless hire process, addressing customer queries and maintaining accurate records.

This permanent role offers great career prospects with one of the largest specialist plant hire businesses in Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Support the fulfilment of customer hire requests for construction plant, equipment, vehicles, site accommodation, and tools.
• Liaise with suppliers to check availability and suitability of equipment, ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Prepare and issue quotations to customers, considering transportation and additional charges.
• Ensure correct dispatch and off-hire dates are processed and communicated to customers.
• Help reconcile project charges to ensure accurate customer invoicing.
• Assist in the closeout of customer projects by ensuring all outstanding invoices are received and processed.
• Support the Hire Controller in lead generation activities to promote growth opportunities.

About you

• Basic knowledge of hire contract management and related financial processes is preferred.
• Prior experience in customer service or a related field is advantageous.
• Experience using financial and hire information systems (e.g. COINS) is an advantage.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organisational abilities.
